(The Rakyat Post) – The Selangor government has instructed three exco members to monitor the expenditure of Perbadanan Kemajuan Negeri Selangor (PKNS).

They have been instructed to file a report on the transactions of PJ Sentral Development (PJ Sentral) involving PKNS’ subsidiary PKNS Holdings Sdn Bhd.

Selangor Menteri Besar Tan Sri Abdul Khalid Ibrahim said the exco members given the task were Datuk Teng Chang Khim, Iskandar Abdul Samad and Rodziah Ismail.

He said the move was to obtain an explanation and report from Antarabangsa state assemblyman Azmin Ali, who sits on the board of PKNS.

“The report on PJ Sentral was done by the PKNS Internal Audit Department where it was stated that no explanation had been given by Azmin Ali.

“However, I have asked the state exco (Chang Khim, Iskandar and Rodziah) to go through this. I feel all those responsible should make a report and provide an explanation on the matter,” he said here yesterday.

He was commenting on a report in a news portal that said the PKNS Internal Audit Department had failed to get an explanation from Azmin regarding PKNS Holdings’ transactions over the PJ Sentral project.

The report stated that the internal audit failed to continue their investigation due to “difficulty in obtaining a suitable date” to meet Azmin who was also a non-executive board member, for an investigation.

Last Feb 27, PKNS was reported to have lost its legal suit against Nusa Gapurna Development Sdn Bhd (Nusa Gapurna) and Malaysian Resources Corp Bhd (MRCB) in connection with a violation of agreement of the shareholders of PJ Sentral Development Sdn Bhd.

The decision was made by High Court Judge Datuk Hasnah Mohammed Hashim who rejected the suit after hearing the testimony of six witnesses.

The judge also ordered PKNS to pay RM100,000 in costs to Nusa Gapurna and RM50,000 to MRCB.
