Rayer paying price for being ‘loose cannon’, says Zahid of cow’s head incident

DATUK SERI AHMAD ZAHID HAMIDI

(The Star) – This incident Saturday morning where a skinned cow’s head was found in front of R.S.N Rayer’s house in Penang is a result of the Seri Delima assemblyman’s big mouth, said Home Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi.

Dr Ahmad Zahid said this was the price Rayer had to pay for being a “mulut celupar”  (lose cannon).

‎”As a politician, I sympathise with what he has to go through in the incident. But that is the price he has to pay if ‘mulut celupar’,” he told reporters after launching the Certified Security Guards training programme here Saturday.

A skinned and bloodied cow’s head was found in front of Rayer’s house early Saturday.

It is learnt that Rayer’s wife discovered the severed head around 7am.

Rayer posted a photograph on his Facebook page around 8am and wrote: “This morning I found a cow head at the front gate of my house ……”

The DAP rep has given the police his statement and handed over CCTV footage.

Rayer is a Hindu. Cows are considered sacred and holy for the Hindus.

The assemblyman was at the centre of a controversy recently when he labelled Umno “celaka” during the state assembly sitting on May 20.

The following day saw a group of protesters entering the building after violently shaking the gate open. They then entered the chambers looking for Rayer, who was not around.‎
