Rafizi may be left out of PKR’s inner circle
The PKR chief strategist has dropped from second to the fifth spot in the vice-presidents race
(Free Malaysia Today) – PKR’s whistleblower and chief strategist Rafizi Ramli is not likely to make it to the inner circle of the party.
Rafizi is about to lose his first bid for the party’s vice-presidents post as he is out of the top four.
Rafizi, who is aligned to deputy presidential candidate Saifuddin Nasution, dropped to fifth place from the number two spot.
He bagged a total of 17,462 votes, and is trailing Sri Andalas assemblyman Dr. Xavier Jayakumar who garnered 17,587 votes.
Rafizi still has a chance for one of the four vice-presidents posts as the results from three divisions have not been taken into account yet.The three divisions are Kelana Jaya, Puchong and Pensiangan.
Rafizi is also in danger of losing his Kemaman division head’s post to an unknown as he is tied in a 74-vote deadlock.
In unofficial results as of June 28, Lembah Pantai MP Nurul Izzah Anwar maintains her position at the top in the vice-presidents race with 27,031 votes followed by Batu MP Tian Chua (20,480 votes) and Bukit Katil MP Shamsul Iskandar Md Akin (18,777 votes).
