(The Rakyat Post) – Persatuan Anak Selangor Menyokong Menteri Besar (Pasmeb) has lodged a police report over seven alleged “masterminds” attempting to oust Selangor Menteri Besar Tan Sri Khalid Ibrahim.

According to Pasmeb committee member Wan Adnan Wan Abdul Rahman, these individuals included Gombak Member of Parliament Azmin Ali’s political secretary Najwan Halimi, Bukit Katil assemblyman Shamsul Iskandar Mohd Akin, Kuala Langat MP Abdullah Sani, Pandan MP Rafizi Ramli, Batu Caves assemblyman Amiruddin Shaari and a certain Habib Mazlan.

“Their actions are rude and disrespectful. They can be considered extreme for misusing the royal institution when claiming that Sultan of Selangor Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah had agreed to Khalid’s resignation,” he said after lodging a report at the Klang Utara district police station this evening.

He was accompanied by 10 other Pasmeb members.

The Star Online reported on Monday that members of the media had received an anonymous tip that Abdul Khalid, who has served as MB since March 2008, would be handing his resignation to the state ruler. The claim was subsequently denied by one of Abdul Khalid’s aides.

Wan Adnan went on to express his hope that the Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) leadership would be able to resolve this crisis as soon as possible.

He claimed that the statement released by the individuals risked confusing Selangorians and “disrupt the harmony” which they were enjoying under Abdul Khalid’s rule.

Wan Adnan also urged PKR leaders to investigate the matter and take action against the seven individuals.

“We are going to hold a series of roadshows to explain to the public on this matter.”
