Another PKR member sacked
(NST) – A PKR member was sacked from the party for lodging a report to the Registrar Of Societies over discrepancies in the Kuala Selangor branch election.
Arijan Osman, a party member from the same branch had also sought to annul the election result which saw S. Manikavasagam defeated Selangor Menteri Besar Tan Sri Abdul Khalid Ibrahim for the branch chief post.
The report was lodged on Monday.
In a statement by PKR today, party disciplinary body chairman Datuk Dr Tan Kee Kwong said the decision to expel Arijan was made during a meeting with the party’s political bureau on Wednesday, chaired by vice-president Tian Chua.
“Arijan was also found to have made media statements (pertaining to the alleged discrepancies) in Utusan Malaysia, Antarapos and Sinar Harian,” said Tan.
As of now some 20 people have been sacked from the party for breaching electoral ethics.
PKR party polls, which began in April is expected to end after Hari Raya Aidilfitri.
