He says it does not clarify and specify the charges against him

(Free Malaysia Today) – Selangor Menteri Besar Abdul Khalid Ibrahim has rejected PKR’s show cause letter as deficient on the grounds that it does not “clarify and specify” the charges against him.

“When a show cause letter is issued, it must satisfy the basic condition of stating clearly and specifically all the charges preferred,” he wrote today in his reply to Tan Kee Kwong, who heads PKR’s disciplinary committee.

He said the letter must state which part of the party’s constitution he had violated and what the penalties were.

Khalid received Tan’s letter yesterday in the midst of the controversy over PKR’s attempt to replace him with Dr.Wan Azizah Ismail to complete the party’s so-called Kajang Move. He gave his response in a letter covering nearly three A4 pages, complaining that the move was carried out without proper consultation with him.

He said he would await a “legitimate” show cause letter from Tan.

Khalid also wrote to the MACC today, asking the anti-graft agency to investigate allegations of power abuse and corruption that PKR has made against him.

He referred to a letter from PKR Secretary General Saifuddin Nasution to his PAS counterpart, Mustafa Ali, about the decision to change the Menteri Besar, copies of which were distributed to the general public.
