(Malay Mail Online) – Several aides from Selangor Mentri Besar Tan Sri Khalid Ibrahim’s office submitted PKR’s report on their boss’ alleged links to dubious deals to the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) today, requesting that the anti-graft body investigate the party’s claims.

The MACC report was lodged by Khalid’s chief private secretary Mohd Yasid Bidin, who arrived at the agency’s office with several other individuals from the MB’s office.

Asked if he was acting on Khalid’s orders, Mohd Yasid said: “I am an officer from the mentri besar office that’s all I can say.

“I feel that this is also my responsibility to find out the truth.”

A 91-page thick report distributed to top Pakatan Rakyat (PR) leaders yesterday contained allegations and justifications as to how PKR came to the decision to ask Khalid to resign from the state’s top post.

Mohd Yasid said he decided to come forward to MACC because PKR has not done so yet.

“Because now, the mentri besar is convinced he didn’t do anything wrong, so I feel this issue needs to be resolved by MACC,” he said.

Asked if his report was to clear Khalid’s name, Mohd Yasid said: “I’m not saying that but whatever the truth is, it will come out”.

Khalid’s party colleagues have questioned his management of Malaysia’s richest state after controversies flared up over several proposed highway deals and religious issues.

PKR is seeking to replace the second-term mentri besar with party president Datuk Seri Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail, but Khalid has refused, saying he intends to serve out the remainder of his term in office.

Consequently, the party served him a show-cause letter that demanded an answer by Friday.

A Pakatan Rakyat presidential meeting will be held this Sunday where top leaders from PAS, PKR and DAP will decide whether or not to keep Khalid or replace him mid-term.
