Khalid is weighing all available options

(NST) – Under-fire Selangor Menteri Besar Tan Sri Khalid Ibrahim is weighing all available options following his sacking from PKR, including the prospect of joining Pas.

Khalid’s former political secretary Faekah Husin said the MB and his team of loyalists were assessing a number of strategies to ensure that his position in the state isn’t threatened.

However, she said a decision can only be made after Khalid is granted an audience with the Sultan of Selangor and is informed of the Sultan’s counsel before making his next move.

“We will have to wait for the outcome of his audience with Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah where he will receive royal advice.

“It can be safely be said that there is a likely possibility for the option to be taken, but until Khalid meets with the Sultan, no decision on our next move can be made yet,” she said.

Asked on whether Khalid is planning to appeal against PKR’s decision to terminate his membership, Faekah, who is also the Menteri Besar Inc chief executive said the decision will be based on Khalid’s personal contemplation.

“If we are following the party’s regulations, then of course Khalid can appeal. However, it is up to him to figure out whether the party is worth his time anymore after what they had done to him.

“In fact, after weighing in their (PKR’s) determination to get rid of Khalid from his state post, even going to the length of firing him from the party, I seriously doubt that they would even entertain his appeal,” she claimed.
