Selangor MB crisis: Khalid at palace for royal court council meeting

(The Star) – Selangor Mentri Besar Tan Sri Khalid Ibrahim is at Istana Alam Shah to meet the Council of the Royal Court to decide on his position.

His car, escorted by a police vehicle and followed by an official car from the Mentri Besar’s office, arrived at the palace around 8.45am.

He is expected to seek an audience with Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah after the meeting.

It was reported earlier that the council would meet Monday to discuss Khalid’s postition, after PKR expelled him from the party last week.

The council is an advisory body for the Sultan, with 20 members who are appointed for a three-year term.
