Khalid may form new party if ousted, says ex-aide
(TMI) – Tan Sri Abdul Khalid Ibrahim may form a new political party in the event he is ousted from the Selangor menteri besar post, his former political secretary said.
“Khalid is planning to form a new political party. I think it is better to wait and see what is his next course of action,” Faekah Husin told Berita Harian today.
Faekah also denied that Khalid was determined to cling on to his position in Selangor.
“Any handing over of power should be made based on the laws. Khalid is not adamant on staying in office,” she added.
She described as “evil” the claim that Khalid would try to remain as MB at all costs.
“This is a negative and evil portrayal of Khalid as it is not his intention.
“He has mentioned several times that the appointment and sacking of a menteri besar should be done in a courteous and dignified manner,” said Faekah.
Her comments come ahead of a PAS central committee meeting today, to decide on the party’s official stand in the MB crisis which has threatened to tear apart Pakatan Rakyat.
