Pengkalan Kubor assemblyman Noor Zahidi Omar passes away

(The Star) – Barisan Nasional’s Pengkalan Kubor assemblyman Datuk Noor Zahidi Omar (pic) passed away in Guangzhou, China at 5.45am, Wednesday.

The Kelantan Umno assemblyman, 57, was reportedly in China seeking treatment for cancer.

Kelantan State Legislative Assembly speaker Datuk Abdullah Yakub when contacted said he was aware of Noor Zahidi’s passing.

“I have contacted (Noor Zahidi’s) family and offered my condolences but I was not told when the remains will be arriving in Kelantan,” he said.

Noor Zahidi beat PKR’s Saharun Ibrahim (PKR) and independent candidate Izat Bukhary Ismail Bukhary to win the state seat in the 13th general election.
