PKR to meet RoS tomorrow

(The Rakyat Post) – PKR disciplinary bureau chairman Datuk Dr Tan Kee Kwong will meet with the Registrar of Societies (RoS) at Putrajaya tomorrow over the sacking of Tan Sri Abdul Khalid Ibrahim from the party.

According to Tan, he first received the letter addressed to him last Tuesday to meet the RoS on Aug 21. However, it was earlier reported that the meeting was then postponed to tomorrow.

Contents of the letter only mentioned the meeting had to do with misconduct by the disciplinary board on Abdul Khalid’s sacking.

The RoS also asked for Tan to prepare papers on the date Abdul Khalid was sacked, composition of the PKR disciplinary board and attendance sheet of PKR central committee members who were present when the decision to sack him was made.

“To me, since I was asked to go, I will go to the RoS tomorrow.

“But it is unclear as to what else the meeting will be about,” Tan told reporters at the Pudu police station here today.

He added that there had been a lot of misunderstanding about the sacking of Abdul Khalid on Aug 9.

Tan said the way the board worked was, it ran an initial investigation before referring the matter to the central leadership council who then decided to sack the embattled Selangor Menteri Besar.

Tan will be meeting the RoS at 11am tomorrow.
