The palace expresses disappointment over the two parties’ refusal to obey the Aug 27 decree

(Free Malaysia Today) – The Sultan of Selangor has accused PKR and DAP of treason for their refusal to obey his command that they submit more than two names for the Menteri Besar’s post.

The Sultan’s private secretary, Munir Bani, in a press statement today said: “The Sultan of Selangor is extremely disappointed by the actions of DAP and PKR in disobeying the decree he made on August 27 2014‎.

“DAP and PKR’s actions reflect their insolence towards the royal institution and is treason towards the Sultan.”

The statement reminded the two parties that the Sultan, following convention, had decreed that each party within Pakatan Rakyat submit more than two names for his consideration.

PAS has submitted three names, but PKR and DAP have insisted on nominating Wan Azizah Ismail as their sole candidate to replace Abdul Khalid Ibrahim.
