Faekah Husin hits out at new Selangor govt

Faekah Husin

(The Star) – Two months after his sacking, detractors of former mentri besar Tan Sri Khalid Ibrahim have not been able to prove any wrongdoing on his part, said his aide Faekah Husin.

“Previous allegations against Tan Sri Khalid have been forgotten ever since he was sidelined, humiliated and insulted,” Faekah said in a statement.

She criticised newly-appointed Mentri Besar Azmin Ali for now accepting Khalid’s original water restructuring plan with the Federal government and the Kinrara-Damansara Expressway (Kidex) project – both of which were alleged with a secret agenda with Umno.

“At last, the mentri besar announced that the water restructuring should be hastened and blames the Federal government for delays.

“He also announced that Kidex would continue as it can improve the traffic system.

“Isn’t the Kidex concessionaire an Umno lawyer? Or has it changed in the last two months. Or perhaps the Umno lawyer has now supported PKR or DAP?” she said.

Faekah also questioned the PKR leadership’s probe to identify the parties behind the projects and the rewards being reaped by “Ibrahim’s cronies.”

“The rakyat is puzzled at how, in a blink of an eye, big issues which have been exaggerated have now been buried and all the decisions taken by Tan Sri Khalid have now been accepted without any shame by PKR,” she said.

Faekah revealed that PKR has been acting in a ‘greedy and evil manner’ to force Khalid to vacate his Bandar Tun Razak parliamentary seat.

“PKR leaders and members should stop disrupting Tan Sri Khalid Ibrahim in carrying out his duties as parliamentarian and Pelabuhan Klang assemblymen,” she said.

She stressed that Khalid “is committed to serving his constituencies despite the setbacks.”

Khalid was sacked from the party on Aug 9 for refusing to give way to PKR president and Kajang assemblyman Datuk Seri Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail as mentri besar.

Azmin was finally installed mentri besar after two months of crisis with the Selangor palace.

Khalid has said he would continue to serve as member of parliament but his assemblyman status would be decided after the State Legislative Assembly sitting in November.
