DAP ‘not afraid to quit Pakatan’
(NST) – In an apparent attack against Pas, DAP secretary-general Lim Guan Eng yesterday said his party has no qualms leaving the opposition pact as “it could not work with a non-committal ally”.
Lim said the survivability of the pact would be determined by the level of commitment shown by its members. He said the pact’s unity would be affected if there was a component party that failed to adhere to the consensus.
Pas is undergoing a turbulent relationship with PKR and DAP following the Selangor leadership crisis.
Lim described DAP as a party with principles and would not be afraid to quit the pact.
“We have been around since the 1960s and we are not afraid to fight for our principles,” he said at the DAP convention here.
