Chegubard to be disciplined for attacking PKR, says Wan Azizah
(The Malaysian Insider) – PKR will take disciplinary action against suspended member Badrul Hisham Shahrin (pic), better known as “Chegubard”, for attacking the party in the media, says Datuk Seri Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail.
The party president, in announcing this today, said the matter would be handled by the newly appointed party disciplinary board chief General (Rtd) Datuk Abdul Hadi Abdul Khatab.
“We have submitted the request to the board,” she said, responding to Chegubard’s allegation that the current Selangor Menteri Besar, Mohamed Azmin Ali, had blocked Dr Wan Azizah’s bid for the post in October.
Dr Wan Azizah said Chegubard’s allegation was a non-issue as PKR and Pakatan Rakyat had already agreed to support Azmin as the new MB.
“We support all efforts made so far by the new MB so this issue does not arise.
“To me, it (the allegation) is more personal in nature,” she said.
Chegubard slammed his critics, asking them to stop behaving like Umno.
“Don’t be like a kangkung (water spinach) minister who told people to stop eating chicken if they could not afford it or asking critics to leave Malaysia if they don’t like Barisan Nasional.
“What are we turning to? I love PKR, that is why I am voicing out the unfairness. I don’t want PKR to be like Umno,” he said, hoping that his critics to accept criticism with an open mind and heart.
“All I am saying is that there should not be two different set of rules in tackling issues or members of the party. Leaders, members, all should be dealt with equally. I only want the best for the party,” he said.
