Hinting at PAS, DAP man wants ‘obstacles’ to quit Pakatan

A Perak DAP leader has castigated certain Pakatan Rakyat (PR) leaders whom he said were obstacles to the pact’s unity, saying such individuals should leave the coalition.
Wong Kah Woh said leaders who vetoed collective decisions made at the PR presidential council should step down, regardless of the party they were from.
Wong did not single out any leader but had devoted much of his speech to criticising certain PAS leaders who he said were causing problems in the pact.
“There are a few PAS leaders who veto decisions in the presidential council. But we hope that our leaders at the national level deal with this problem.
“I call upon any PR leader, no matter which party they are from, who vetoes presidential council decisions to step down,” said Wong in his speech at the DAP national conference in Subang Jaya today.
Wong’s call comes on the heels of serious rifts between PAS and DAP which had opened up again after the Islamist party wanted to enforce hudud (shariah criminal law) in Kelantan.
Relations worsened during the Selangor menteri besar imbroglio as PAS broke ranks with PKR and DAP over whether to replace Tan Sri Abdul Khalid Ibrahim.
Recently, DAP’s secretary-general Lim Guan Eng also openly criticised PAS president Datuk Seri Abdul Hadi Awang for not attending PR presidential council meetings.
