(Free Malaysia Today) – After three years of struggling for justice, the British Victims of Investing in Malaysia (BVIM) are surprised that Sivalingam Thechinamoorthy, the managing director of Doxport Technologies Sdn Bhd, will be the only one finally facing a trial at the Sessions Court in Petaling Jaya on charges of “Criminal Breach of Trust”.
BVIM alleges that they have been cheated of RM13.3 million.
Other directors of Doxport, according to BVIM, are ex-Treasurer of Umno Azim Zabidi and a Gurmeet Kaur.
The criminal case investigated by the Royal Malaysian Police and brought by the Malaysian Public Prosecutor against Sivalingam will be heard at Session 1 Court, Petaling Jaya, starting on 22 December 2014.
Apparently, over 20 British MPs and members of the House of Lords have supported the British investors in their attempt to bring, what the investors allege is “fraud”, to the Malaysian Courts.
