Muhyiddin told to step into Najib’s shoes
Umno’s Syed Rosli says the DPM can breath new life into party.
(Free Malaysia Today) – Muhyiddin Yassin was today urged to take over the posts of Prime Minister and Umno President.
The call came from the same branch leader who, in an open letter two days ago, told Prime Minister Najib Razak to step down “if he loves Umno”.
Syed Rosli Harman Jamalullail, the information chief for Umno’s Pusat Bandar Taman Cempaka branch, said the Deputy Prime Minister and Deputy Umno President was more qualified than Najib for the top posts.
“He can breath new life into the party,” he said in an interview with the Malaysian Insider. “I propose that he take over from Najib.”
Syed Rosli also gave his reaction to Umno Youth leader Khairy Jamaluddin’s stinging criticism of him yesterday.
