Christians free to use ‘Allah’ on one condition…
Islamist group Hizbut Tahrir says Christians may use Allah once they convert to Islam, “the only true religion of Allah”.
Rubbing salt into the wound, a hardline Islamist group called Hizbut Tahrir, invited Christians to convert to Islam since they fought so hard to be given the right to use the word “Allah”.
They said this after the Federal Court Wednesday upheld a previous ruling forbidding the word “Allah” to be used in the publication of Herald, a weekly Catholic bulletin.
According to the Malay Mail Online, a posting on the group’s website read, “Actually, the space of Christians to use the word ‘Allah’ was never closed. It is always open, indeed it is open wide. They themselves are the ones who closed the space.
“The way is easy, for them to convert to Islam, the only true religion of ‘Allah’.”
The group told Christians to study Islam sincerely and ask God for guidance so they could convert to Islam eventually.
They also reassured Christians that the conversion process allowed the use of the word “Allah” by them in reference to the Shahada, where Muslims declared their belief of Allah’s oneness, and Muhammad as His prophet.
“By uttering this phrase, you will become a Muslims and do not need the permission of the courts to use the word Allah,” the group said.
