PAS sees Dr M closing in on Najib
(Free Malaysia Today) – PAS sees ex-premier Mahathir Mohamad’s attacks on Najib Abdul Razak’s leadership as gaining momentum and heading towards a conclusion.
The stepped-up attacks, according to PAS Deputy President Mohamad Sabu’s observation, are being launched in the midst of other pressures Najib is facing as chief administrator of the country.
Sabu’s remarks, made in a recent speech in Sikamat, were reported today by Sinar Harian. The report did not say whether the PAS leader gave details of the “other pressures”, but it is likely that he was referring to economic challenges brought about by the fall in oil prices and the weakening of the ringgit.
He said it was apparent that the Mahathir forces had a definite strategy to continue piling pressure on Najib to bring about his downfall.
