PAS says PKR just as guilty of unilateral decisions
PAS ulama faction brings up the Kajang Move that PKR executed without consultation with others in the coalition
(Free Malaysia Today) – Having faced mounting accusations of making unilateral decisions and working with the enemy in regard to the tabling and passing of a hudud bill in Kelantan, PAS’ ulama faction have shot back, pointing out that PKR did the very same thing when it executed the Kajang Move without consulting its coalition partners.
Its information chief Mohd Khairuddin Aman Razali at Takiri was quoted by the Malay Mail Online as saying, “It is strange that PKR’s unilateral action in the ‘Kajang Move’ was not considered as ignoring PR.
“The sacking of Tan Sri Khalid Ibrahim as MB was done without PAS’ agreement but was not considered a betrayal.”
He also pointed out that DAP elder statesman Lim Kit Siang had suggested that a pact with Barisan Nasional be considered in order to “save Malaysia”.
“Is that not a betrayal of the PR Common Policy Framework?” Khairuddin asked in a statement today.
He also said DAP’s continued “attacks, slander and insults” against their president Abdul Hadi Awang, might result in PAS cutting ties with Pakatan Rakyat.
Khairuddin said, “I advise DAP to be more civil and cease its attacks against Hadi, if it hopes to share a common medium in fighting the abuse, corruption, and failures of the Barisan Nasional administration.”
