(The Star) – Tell-all website Sarawak Report is in danger of being suspended after pictures of business tycoon Jho Low published on its website were copyrighted by an unknown person.

A firm going by the name of Celeb Images Agency claimed the rights to the pictures, which have been circulating online for several years.

However, the website’s founder has told a local news portal that the firm in question does not exist and that the pictures were bought over by a lone individual.

Clare Rewcastle-Brown (pic) said the fake company was trying to get the photos taken down from the website and not seeking payment for its use.

“This company called Celeb Images Agency doesn’t actually exist as a business and does not want payment for usage.

“It only wants to threaten us to take the pictures down and to threaten our server companies into forcing us to do so if we want to keep our server,” she was quoted as saying by the portal on Sunday.

The website has been given a grace period until Monday by its servers to deal with the matter.

Sarawak Report has recently published several stories on 1MDB and the involvement of billionaire tycoon Low, whose real name is Low Taek Jho.
