In memory of Suflan Shamsuddin

I lost a wonderful friend today. As I write this he is being laid into the ground in Kuala Lumpur and I cannot be there.

I do not need to go into great detail about who and what Suflan is. Those who knew him will know what I am saying without the need for me to say anything. Those who don’t would never be able to grasp the true essence of my words unless they had met the man himself.

Goodbye, Lan. We were supposed to meet this month and chill out. Instead, you left us. I suppose man can propose while God disposes. And it was God’s plan that we would never be able to meet again like we did almost one year ago to the day.
