Will PR remain the same PR come next GE?

The people who planted the seeds of destruction in the country and have fallen out of favour with BN are now being cherished under PKR.

Karamjit Gill

For the last umpteen years I have been an ardent and loyal Pakatan supporter. I always believe the only way the country will move forward is with Pakatan at the helm. We are made to believe that the fight for equality and truth has always been the stand of Pakatan. However, I am starting to lose hope if anything is ever going to change in this country. The slogan ‘Tukar Ini Kalilah’ is starting to look like ‘Tak Akan Tukarlah’.

Coalition with PAS

From the onset, I personally never seconded the idea of forming a coalition with PAS. Pakatan is about moderation. We fielded a young intelligent modern Malay woman in the Teluk Intan by-election to tell the people what we will bring if we govern the country. On one end is this but the other end of the spectrum is sleeping with PAS, the most religiously extremist party in the country. We speak moderation and encourage youths to come together with us but we were helpless to allow the ‘law of amputation’ be passed in Kelantan if someone is guilty of stealing. The right hand and the left hand do not seem to play the same tune. It is exactly what we say about Barisan National … Cakap tak serupa bikin.

Sleeping with the ENEMY …

We were always moving on our own way. We rallied the streets for Bersih!! We demanded for free and fair elections. We cry foul over the conviction of our beloved Anwar Ibrahim. We continue to press for a change. The majority of the people are with us as evidenced by the popular vote last GE. But what are we doing now? We are now supporting the evil Mahathir who is the cause of all the turmoil in the country. Mahathir sneakily fixed Anwar in his initial conviction.

The judiciary system in Malaysia is like a joke today because of Mahathir’s doing. Remember what he did to Tun Salleh Abas who stood his ground to maintain the integrity of the judiciary?

Lim Kit Siang has forgotten his direction with the passing of Karpal Singh. Lim is saying he does not mind working with Mahathir now. Are you serious? You will sell your soul to the devil, Lim? And how did Mahathir respond? He again slapped us on the face and says he will never work with the opposition in his war against Najib.

We seem to be losing ourselves and that senile man is keeping his integrity. Lim, you want to shake hands with the person who has been trying to annihilate Anwar all the while?

The other jokers …

If the idea of working with Mahathir is not bad enough, we also seem to be aligning ourselves to the likes of Kadir Jasin, Mat Taib and Musa Hassan.

Kadir Jasin who was once upon a time an Anwar ally backstabbed the latter for personal gains from Mahathir. He became a multi-millionaire through Mahathir’s cronyism style politics. In 2009, in his own blog, The Scribe, Kadir claims the late Karpal urged Anwar to step down as the leader of the Pakatan alliance due to Anwar’s rhetoric of forming a government with the aid of BN defectors. He went on to say Karpal was not very happy with both Lim Kit Siang and Lim Guan Eng for their inconsistent stand on party hopping. He has always been trying to stir negativity and unrest among the Pakatan alliance and we seem to be supporting him now. Mat Taib

Tan Sri Muhammad Muhammad Taib, also known as ‘Mat Taib’ or ‘Mat Tyson’, seems to have gained alliance with Pakatan. Why oh why? He fell out of favour from the UMNO deputy president’s post in 2009 and has been sour ever since. An extremely wealthy man who lives a life that most people can only dream of has sparked a lot of controversies during his time in BN. The once immaculately groomed man now looks a little out of sorts.

Who can ever forget Mat Taib getting caught with a briefcase full of money at an Australian airport. Mat Taib continues to iterate his non-tolerance to the liberal lifestyle he sees in the country today. He has even questioned the attire of school children and said they have to be covered up? Seems like he is someone sick in the head. They are school children for heaven’s sake. Tomorrow if he questions the attire of Dyana Sofya, how is Pakatan going to respond?

Anwar Ibrahim, Lim Kit Siang and the late Karpal have all expressed their dissatisfaction of Mat Taib joining PAS due to the dirt he has on him. He failed to give a satisfactory explanation of the RM 25.4 million worth of various expenditures and properties aligned to him as has been reported by the foreign press; his RM 2 million plus house in the Gold Coast, his RM 5 million ranch in Queensland, RM 16 million divorce settlement, just to name a few. The whole country knows about this crook and now Pakatan is working with him?

Tan Sri Musa Hassan, Malaysia’ ex-IGP is another cartoon character. This clown is now being backed by PKR. Has PKR forgotten that it was Musa Hassan and Abdul Gani Patail who fabricated medical reports that DSAI’s injuries (‘black-eye’ incident) were self-inflicted? Has PKR forgotten than Musa Hassan fabricated evidence in Anwar’s sodomy trial? This is the same Musa Hassan, the celebrated ‘Mattress Carrier’ who planted Anwar’s semen on the stained mattress.

Musa is presently seen bashing the government and PDRM, accusing them of the high crime rate in the country. Let Malaysians not forget that it was during Musa’s time as IGP that crime peaked to an all time high; the Ah Long syndicate became a national menace and the police reputation was at an all time low. When Musa Hassan took over as the IGP in 2006, Malaysia’s Crime Index stood at 157,365. Over the subsequent 3 years, the crime rate escalated by more than 30%.

Musa even tried framing six officers for discovering his triad links and charged them in court. All of them were acquitted without their defense being called. Surprisingly today, Pakatan has formed an alliance with this same joker, Musa Hassan, and crying foul play in the country.

Where does the future lie?

I am actually starting to think that the situation in the country is only going to get worse. The people who planted the seeds of destruction in the country and have fallen out of favour with BN are now being cherished under PKR. If they were men of integrity they should have fought from day one. I strongly urge the Pakatan comrades to shun from satan and BN defectors. Let us stick to our principles of beholding the truth. Let us keep to our integrity and not align ourselves with these demons.
