PKR needs no manifesto for Permatang Pauh, says Azmin
(The Rakyat Post) – PKR deputy president Mohamed Azmin Ali has confirmed that PKR will not be launching any manifesto for their candidate Datuk Seri Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail.
The party’s by-election director said PKR did not need any manifesto, unlike Barisan Nasional (BN) that launched theirs on Thursday.
“BN needs a manifesto because they are scared of Pakatan Rakyat. We do not need a manifesto.
“We have a state government manifesto prior to this and we will continue to implement it,” he told The Rakyat Post when met.
Meanwhile, PKR Youth deputy chief Dr Afif Bahardin said that throughout the entire campaign, the party announced projects that would be carried out in the area.
“We have announced a few matters throughout our campaign and we remain committed in implementing them for the rakyat.
“There are many projects announced including ways to overcome floods and others,” said the Seberang Jaya assemblyman.
BN’s manifesto for the Permatang Pauh by-election was launched yesterday, highlighting issues relating to economy, education, health, rural area development, community and safety.
Dr Wan Azizah was shocked when asked about PKR’s manifesto yesterday, indicating that PKR had not prepared one for the by-election.
She also said that PKR would wait for BN’s manifesto before launching their own.
