IGP: 1MDB land deal leak to be investigated under OSA
(MMO) – Police will investigate the disclosure of official papers of the contentious land deal between Lembaga Tabung Haji (LTH) and 1Malaysia Development Bhd (1MDB) under the Official Secrets Act (OSA), police chief Tan Sri Khalid Abu Bakar said today.
“The disclosure of the papers on the side of the LTH will be investigated under the OSA,” the Inspector-General of Police said briefly when asked on the matter at a press conference here.
He also pointed out that the police has jurisdiction over the issue despite suggestions that the case falls under the purview of the Malaysian Communication and Multimedia Commission (MCMC).
“The police have jurisdiction,” he said.
