Noh Omar’s brother flees Sabah home after alleged shooting
(The Star) – The brother of former Agriculture and Agro-based Industries Minister Datuk Seri Noh Omar has fled the family home here after the alleged shooting of a man.
City police chief Assist Comm M. Chandra said the house of suspect Mohd Jusnaidi Omar (pix) in Likas was found deserted when police went there.
“No one was at home. He must have left with his family after the incident,” he said when contacted on Friday.
Police were on the hunt for Mohd Jusnaidi, 43, also known as Mat Malaya, after he allegedly shot an assistant mechanic following an argument at 2.30pm on Wednesday.
He was previously charged over a drug trafficking offence in 2007.
It is believed that police are monitoring major exit points in the state.
“Please inform your nearest police station if you know of this man’s whereabouts,” Chandra said.
