Federal headquarters to handle the case, say police after PKR’s Nik Nazmi files report.

(Free Malaysia Today) – Commercial crime investigators from federal headquarters will look into Tabung Haji’s land deal with troubled government-owned 1Malaysia Development Bhd, police said today.

Three reports have so far been made against the deal, in which the pilgrims fund paid RM188mil for land which 1MDB had obtained from the government at about RM78 per square foot.

The reports are being studied by the federal commercial crime department, Kuala Lumpur police chief Tajuddin Md Isa said today, according to Malaysian Insider.

Two reports were lodged today by PKR youth chief Nik Nazmi Nik Ahmad and a special assistant to the Selangor executive councillor.

The report called for investigations into possible conflict of interest of Tabung Haji’s three top officials, who also hold positions in 1MDB.
