No need to debate, wait for 1MDB audit report, Khairy tells Dr M
(The Malaysian Insider) – Umno Youth chief Khairy Jamaluddin today said a debate between Datuk Seri Najib Razak and his predecessor, Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad, would be pointless because the prime minister had already answered the allegations in his blog yesterday.
As for the controversy surrounding debt-laden 1Malaysia Development Berhad (1MDB), he said all parties, including the former prime minister, should wait for the National Audit Department to complete its investigations before commenting.
“There is no need for a debate. I feel the prime minister has already given his answers.
“As for the 1MDB issue, we (Umno Youth) are also waiting for the outcome of the audit.
“So lets just wait until they are done with it,” he told reporters in Putrajaya.
