(Bernama) – The setting up of a Shadow Cabinet for Pakatan Rakyat will only be decided after a meeting of the opposition group’s top leaders soon.

Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) deputy president Azmin Ali said the matter would be discussed by the top leaders of DAP, PAS and PKR.

Azmin was met by reporters after launching the Prosper Selangor Agenda and Darul Ehsan Investment Group, here, today.

Azmin, who is also Selangor Mentri Besar, was asked to comment on DAP secretary-general Lim Guan Eng’s statement yesterday which rejected opposition leader Datuk Seri Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail’s proposal for a shadow cabinet be set up for the opposition group.

Lim had reportedly said the idea was not practical, thus DAP chose to set up its own shadow cabinet with 18 portfolios to be filled by parliamentarians from the party.

On Monday, Dr Wan Azizah who is also PKR president, was quoted as saying that the opposition pact would again set up a shadow cabinet to strengthen its check and balance system, whereby each ministry would be represented by a member of Parliament from the opposition.
