Closed-door meet should not have been recorded
Umno veep Zahid Hamidi is now looking for the Umno member who shared the video of the deputy president’s speech.
(Free Malaysia Today) – Umno members are still reeling from the shock of having a private video leaked to the public, and a probe is now underway as to who among them at the meeting made the recording.
Umno working secretary Ab. Rauf Yusuf told The Rakyat Post when contacted that Umno Vice-President Ahmad Zahid Hamidi was investigating who the culprit was.
He said that according to guidelines set by the party, training programmes, such as the one members were attending that particular day, were private and confidential matters and no recordings of any kind were permitted.
“It should not have happened because it was a private training session that was conducted specifically for Umno members,” he told the news portal.
At the meeting held at the Institut Latihan Memperkasakan UMNO (Ilmu) at Janda Baik on Saturday, Deputy Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin told members present that Prime Minister Najib Razak as Minister of Finance should sack the board of directors of 1Malaysia Development Berhad.
