Hadi: DAP doesn’t know what’s in my heart
The PAS President says his party is focused on being part of a diverse coalition.
(Free Malaysia Today) – PAS President Abdul Hadi Awang today scoffed at a DAP allegation that his heart was with Umno and indicated that his party was still committed to the Pakatan Rakyat coalition.
However, he would not speculate on Pakatan’s future.
“I can’t speak of what the future holds,” he told reporters gathered outside the Dewan Rakyat. “We are still with Pakatan. I still hold the same seat.”
Responding to a recent DAP criticism that his demeanour showed him to be an Umno member at heart, Hadi said, “They don’t know what is in my heart. I don’t know what’s in theirs.”
Hadi reminded reporters that PAS had been on its own before but said the party was now focused on being part of a diverse coalition.
“We have been alone, we have been the government,we have been outside the government, and usually history never repeats itself,” he said. “Our belief is that we have to be with the multiracial society of Malaysia.”
He said the public should just “wait and see” how Pakatan’s internal feud would be resolved.
