PAC: Facts, not assumptions needed to question Jho Low
PAC Chairman Nur Jazlan says that from the witnesses who testified so far, no link has been established between 1MDB and Jho Low yet.
(Free Malaysia Today) – A witness can only be brought in for questioning if there is sufficient evidence linking him to 1MDB operations, said Chairman of the Public Accounts Committee (PAC), Nur Jazlan Mohamed when asked by The Ant Daily whether Jho Low was in Kuala Lumpur because he had been summoned by them.
“Everybody has already concluded that he (Low) is guilty…We (PAC) have to find the basis to call him.
“From the witnesses (who have testified) so far, there is no information to link him to 1MDB operations,” Nur Jazlan told the news portal.
He also explained that PAC was currently focusing on allegations pertaining to the management of 1Malaysia Development Berhad and as such would only be summoning those directly involved.
“We need to verify the (alleged) link between 1MDB and Low with the management of 1MDB…,” he said in explaining PAC’s procedure in conducting its investigations.
