(The Star) – PAS will not pull out from Pakatan Rakyat, regardless of who wins the upcoming party election.

PAS secretary-general Datuk Mustafa Ali said no matter who wins the election, the leader in question would not make the decision to leave Pakatan.

He said there are no indications that the motions to be debated at the party’s the general assembly would touch on the party leaving Pakatan.

“I was also made to understand that the policy speech by the president makes no mention of leaving Pakatan.

“So there’s no such thing of leaving the coalition,” he told a press conference here, Monday.

He also dismissed speculation that the candidates contesting in the party polls were either pro-Pakatan or anti-Pakatan.

“It’s not right to say that PAS will seal Pakatan’s fate. It is also baseless to say that there are pro-Pakatan leaders and anti-Pakatan leaders.

“There’s no such thing. There’s not one top leader in the party who insists that PAS should leave Pakatan,” said Mustafa.
