No more business as usual for Selangor, says Tony Pua
DAP MP Tony Pua agrees that things have changed in regard to party relations in Selangor.
(Free Malaysia Today) – “No more business as usual for Selangor,” says DAP MP Tony Pua following the recent decision by PAS to cut ties with DAP.
The Petaling Jaya Utara MP agreed with PAS MP Mahfuz Omar who has asked PKR to choose between working with either DAP or PAS in the Selangor state assembly.
“I agree. And no matter what the choice is, whether it’s a two or two-plus-two choice…things cannot be business as usual in terms of the Selangor ruling,” said Pua when speaking to reporters outside Parliament today.
When questioned about what would happen if the state assembly was hung, Pua said that the worst case scenario would be an election.
“This will do nobody any good. Azmin (Ali) and I don’t want it. We need a formula that all will accept, but we don’t have it now,” said Pua.
“PAS wants PKR to choose, and so do we. So we’ll talk with the Menteri Besar (Azmin Ali) and see his position. We’ll also see the position of the three parties.”
