Expose your informants, pro-PM site tells Dr M
MyKMU.net assumes that Cabinet ministers are among those providing Mahathir with info on 1MDB
(Free Malaysia Today) – MyKMU.net, a pro-Najib website, has challenged former prime minister Mahathir Mohamad to reveal the names of Cabinet ministers and former 1MDB executives who have allegedly been giving him information about wrongdoing in the government-owned company.
The website said it assumed from Mahathir’s blog entry yesterday that his accusations against 1MDB were based on his confidence in the trustworthiness of the informants.
In his blog posting, however, Mahathir did not mention Cabinet ministers or former 1MDB officials. He said: “Lots of people know about the loss of billions of ringgit by 1MDB. These people are in a position to know because they have seen evidence of this loss. But they are afraid because of actions which the government can take against them. They may lose their jobs, or contracts or expectations of titles, etc.”
The MyKMU article said: “We assume that Mahathir’s allegations are based on his belief in the words of certain Cabinet members and former 1MDB executives.
“This means they have misled Mahathir with manipulated facts, the purpose being to cause enmity between Mahathir and Prime Minister Najib.
“The time has come for Mahathir to reveal who these people are so that the public can judge whether they were moved by sincerity or some other interest.”
