Pak Samad to join DAP, will explain decision on Saturday
(The Star) – National laureate Datuk A. Samad Said will explain his decision to join the DAP on Saturday in Kelantan.
“Everybody has the chance (to know more),” said A. Samad, known fondly as Pak Samad, when contacted.
The writer and poet, best known for his novel Salina, has been active in politics for a few years.
He is one of the Bersih 2.0 activists and is also campaigning for the Opposition.
Asked whether he will join DAP, Pak Samad gave a short and succinct answer – “right”.
An online portal quoted DAP national organising secretary Anthony Loke as saying that Pak Samad would be attending a programme sponsored by Gabungan Impian Kelantan at Kampung Pasir Tumboh in Gua Musang on Saturday.
Other DAP leaders would also be present.
