Police seal off access to Low Yat Plaza
(Malay Mail Online) – Police acted to cordon off Low Yat Plaza tonight following the gathering of about 200 people at Low Yat Plaza in reaction to yesterday’s brawl inside the building, Malaysiakini reported.
According to the news portal, a group claiming to represent Malay NGOs such as Persatuan Kebajikan Islam dan Dakwah Islamiah (Pekida), had tried to enter the the building at about 8.35pm, but were prevented from doing so.
By 9pm, Low Yat Plaza was shuttered after police sealed off the area with yellow tape.
