Azmin’s Indecision On PAS Shows His Weakness
If Najib resigns and BN falls, is the current opposition coalition ready to govern the country? How are you going to lead the country when you can’t even sort out your own mess?

The issues surrounding Pakatan Rakyat is nothing less than a horrific ghost story. It is obvious that break-up of the Pakatan coalition is a forgone conclusion. Representatives from Pakatan can count themselves lucky because the mess Pakatan’s currently in is curtailed by the scandals that has plagued Barisan Nasional.
When Azmin Ali took over as the Menteri Besar of Selangor, he fast established himself as a man with a plan; a vision that would govern Selangor to a huge success. Unfortunately, I am rather disappointed with the way Azmin is handling the PAS-DAP issue.
Lim Guan Eng is definitely stamping his mark as the actual head of the pack while the face on the front is Datuk Seri Dr. Wan Azizah Wan Ismail. Lim has repeatedly stated his stand on the mortality of Pakatan and has been pressuring Azmin to do the same. At the same time Lim is pushing Azmin to agree to his proposed conditions on any party who is interested in being part of a new coalition, which includes no-hudud laws. Personally, I feel this is a step forward. After PAS’ violating the coalition’s collective decision with regards to hudud, penning down clear conditions is necessary to ensure history does not repeat itself.
To date, Azmin has been beating around the bush and has not made a conclusive stand. Why is Azmin so afraid to openly commit to DAP and officially sever ties with PAS? Does he also bear the same UMNO genes to cling on to power at any cost that he is not making a stand? With Azmin clearly avoiding drawing the line, PAS is going on with their nonsense. They were the ones who first decided to part ways with DAP. They were the ones who urged their leaders to quit the Penang state government. When the boat became rocky and it came to losing power, they took a U-turn and decided not to resign from Penang state. Lim then sacked most of them from the state government. Now, PAS wants to take legal action against DAP for sacking them? They bought the fire-crackers themselves, lit them up themselves, got their hand burnt themselves and then blame and take legal action against the person they bought the fire-crackers from. What kind of human beings are these? Ironically, they call themselves the most religiously inclined people with highest amounts of integrity. What a joke!
Instead of trying to settle this problem once and for all, both Tony Pua and Rafizi Ramli seem more interested in voicing concerns about Najib and his government. Hypothetically, if Najib resigns and BN falls, is the current opposition coalition ready to govern the country? How are you going to lead the country when you can’t even sort out your own mess? Please don’t throw stones outside when you live in a glass house. There is enough going on within BN by itself. There are more than enough people jumping on them and demanding for truth and explanations. Please clean up the dirt within Pakatan and forge a strong coalition first and then attention can together be channeled to toppling the BN government.
Azmin has got to realise that working with PAS to achieve the short-term goal of remaining as the MB of Selangor is only going to spell trouble for him time and time again. PAS are a nuisance. They have always been like the mosquito. You can fog all you want but if you do not destroy their breeding ground, they will always pose a threat to you.
As the supposed head of the Pakatan coalition, I wonder if Wan Azizah is aware of the current happenings or is she still oblivious to everything and prioritizes playing with her grandchildren first?
