Najib holds closed-door meeting with state Umno leaders
(Malay Mail Online) – Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak yesterday held a closed door meeting with Umno state liaison chiefs at Seri Perdana.
Vehicles transporting Mentris Besar and Chief Ministers were seen entering Seri Perdana compounds from 5pm.
Spotted among them were Kedah Umno liaison chief Datuk Seri Mukhriz Mahathir, Datuk Seri Dr Zambry Abd Kadir (Perak), Datuk Seri Adnan Yaakob (Pahang), Datuk Seri Idris Haron (Malacca), Datuk Seri Mohamed Khaled Nordin (Johor), Datuk Seri Razif Abdul Rahman (Terengganu), Datuk Seri Mohamad Hasan (Negri Sembilan) and Sabah Chief Minister Datuk Seri Musa Aman. Also seen were Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department Datuk Seri Shahidan Kassim, who is Umno Perlis liaison chief and Selangor Umno liaison chief, Datuk Seri Noh Omar.
It was learned that the meeting discussed the current political development in the country.
Over 40 media representatives gathered outside the entrance of Seri Perdana following the meeting.
When asked by reporters on the purpose and matters to be discussed in the meeting, Shahidan who had just arrived merely replied “all sorts”. The meeting lasted about two hours.
Also present at the closed-door meeting were Umno vice-president who is also Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi, secretary-general Datuk Seri Tengku Adnan Tengku Mansor and executive secretary, Datuk Abdul Rauf Yusoh.
