Our membership open to non-Muslims, says GHB
(The Malaysian Insider) – The PAS splinter group New Hope Movement (GHB) that is set to be launched as a political party before Merdeka Day on August 31 will accept non-Muslims members, said the group’s deputy chairman Salahuddin Ayub.
Salahuddin said most members of GHB that was set up by the progressive faction from the Islamist party will join the new party.
“It will be open to non-Muslims although our policies will be based on Islam.
“As to the name, we will wait till the next press conference.
“We have to wait in case some feel that GHB should remain an NGO, but what is certain is that some of us will join the new party,” Salahuddin told a press conference in Shah Alam today.
