None of the 20 BN MPs signed SD as claimed in blogs, Zahid confirms

(Malay Mail Online) – Datuk Seri Zahid Hamidi confirmed today that none of the 20 Barisan Nasional lawmakers named by several blogs had signed any statutory declaration (SD) to pave the way for an overthrow of the Najib administration.

The deputy prime minister had over the weekend claimed an Umno leader was conspiring with the opposition to topple the Najib administration by gathering signatures for a statutory declaration to express majority support for a no-confidence vote in Parliament.

“I want to confirm that no one from the 20 BN MPs have signed the SD,” he told reporters at the Prime Minister.

Zahid, who is also Umno vice-president, had refused to name the alleged party traitor.
