The Qur’an did not come from Allah, as some people say

The main problem that Malaysia is facing is the racial and religious divide caused by Muslims who feel that Islam is a superior religion and the only true religion. Now maybe Malays will begin to understand that Islam is just another religion like all the other religions and that none of what we believe may have come from God.

NO HOLDS BARRED

Raja Petra Kamarudin

“Mass resignations hit Selangor PAS,” said Malaysiakini today. This certainly sounds serious and most probably means PAS is on the verge of collapsing, to be replaced by another Islamic party that is not too hung up on God’s laws and the Qur’an.

I think it is about time. There are already enough problems being faced by the Muslim world because organisations such as Boko Haram, IS, ISIL ISIS, the Islamic Brotherhood, Al Qaeda, the Taliban, etc., want to implement what they consider God’s laws as laid down by the Qur’an.

Now we have a group of Malaysian Islamists who no longer place God’s laws and the Qur’an as supreme. After all, we do not really know in the first place whether these so-called Qur’anic laws did come from God or are mere fabrication of humans.

I feel this new Islamic party of ex-PAS members and leaders are going to sweep the non-Muslim votes in the next general election. Non-Muslims are going to be very pleased that at last Islam is not going to be the focus of the Malays.
