Your days are numbered, Art tells ministers after Bersih 4
Lawyer Art Harun berates the “bloody cowards” in government for belittling citizens with talk that they cannot handle freedom.
(Free Malaysia Today) – Ministers and those is authority who form the government of the day can expect to be booted out soon, said Art Harun after attending the weekend’s Bersih 4 rally.
Taking to his Facebook page, the lawyer and social activist, posted a passionate message directed at the government and called them “bloody cowards” for declaring the rally illegal and banning the use of yellow T-shirts bearing the word “Bersih” on it.
Praising rally goers and organisers for their restraint and respect for upholding peace, Art condemned ministers like Paul Low, Rahman Dahlan and Azalina Othman, who he said were constantly driving home the point that Malaysians needed to be protected from themselves because they did not know how to handle freedom.
Art said, “We have shown to the world that we are not monkeys who cannot handle freedom and liberty.
“Just look at #Bersih4. What did we do to suggest that we cannot handle freedom?
“To all these Ministers and people in authority I say, “shame on you!” for belittling your fellow citizens.
“The truth is you all are bloody cowards!”
He also berated them for abusing the powers that the people had “loaned” them for the five years they were in public office and said that what Bersih 4 showed was that their days in government was numbered.
