Wan Azizah to answer why she hurriedly launched PH

(Free Malaysia Today) – 25 PKR supreme council members want to meet with their President Wan Azizah Wan Ismail to ask why she officially announced the formation of Pakatan Harapan (PH) after a roundtable session that was meant to be nothing more than a preliminary brainstorming session.
According to a report in The Star Online, a PKR insider said some in the party were bewildered as to why Wan Azizah launched PH without first discussing it with members of the party’s supreme council.
“What was discussed was for the roundtable meeting to be a preliminary gathering for brainstorming,” said the insider, adding that many were “shocked” at the sudden announcement as they felt it was only right to include PAS in the new Opposition pact as well.
“We were shocked with what transpired after the roundtable meeting, because some of us feel that PAS must not be excluded from the pact.”
The new pact now consisted only of PKR, DAP and Parti Amanah Negara (Amanah).
There now also existed among some party leaders, a degree of suspicion that the DAP had a hand in influencing their president’s decision to make PH official so quickly.
He said PKR must remain the dominant party in PH and that some were worried Wan Azizah, the new Opposition Leader, would not be able to be firm in this regard.
