Bung: Umno weaker after yesterday’s attacks
The Supreme Council member says Dr M’s press conference was unnecessary.
(Free Malaysia Today) – An Umno Supreme Council member today lamented that the party had been “weakened” by remarks made at a press conference yesterday by former prime minister Mahathir Mohamad and several other party veterans.
Bung Mokhtar Radin told FMT he felt the press conference was “very unnecessary.”
“They have weakened the party and given the opposition parties an opportunity to attack it,” he said.
Asked whether he thought they should face disciplinary action, Bung said it was up to the party’s disciplinary board to make a decision.
