Zahid expects a hot time in Parliament
Opposition expected to harp on controversies such as 1MDB, says deputy prime minister.
(Free Malaysia Today) – A hot time is expected in Parliament when the Budget session begins on Monday, but deputy prime minister Ahmad Zahid Hamidi said the government was prepared to answer MPs.
He said Barisan Nasional leaders and members of the Cabinet expected Opposition MPs to harp on issues such as the government’s investment arm 1Malaysia Development Bhd.
“We know they will pick on issues to raise controversies. We are prepared to answer them and we hope they will be prepared to accept our answers,” he said in response to the media while on an official visit to Sarawak.
“But they will never be satisfied with our answers because they are the Opposition,” he said.
