Queries on RM2.6b to be answered soon, says Azalina
Parliamentary questions on the same subject will be grouped together.
(Free Malaysia Today) – Parliamentary questions regarding the RM2.6 billion donation to Prime Minister Najib Razak will be grouped together and answered at a date yet to be fixed.
Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department Azalina Othman announced this today in a written reply to two questions directed at Najib yesterday.
Replying to Lim Lip Eng (DAP-Segambut) and Lim Guan Eng (DAP-Bagan), Azalina said their questions would be answered along with other questions on the same subject “on a date to be fixed soon” during the current parliament session.
Lim asked Najib why the donation was channelled into his personal account, who had given the donation and how it had been used.
He also asked, “What is the real source of the US$993 million payment which was reported to have gone missing from 1MDB and where was the money channelled to?”
Guan Eng asked whether Najib had paid taxes on the donation and how much of it he still had with him.
He also asked for details of the bank account or accounts into which the money was deposited.
