Too early to talk about 1MDB, says Tengku Razaleigh
MP says it is best to wait for the Auditor-General’s report before making comments about the troubled investment company.
(Free Malaysia Today) – Member of Parliament for Gua Musang Tengku Razaleigh Hamzah has said it is too early for any quarters to comment on 1Malaysia Development Bhd (1MDB).
He said, such comments should only be made after the Auditor-General had completed his audit on 1MDB and when the report was out.
“I have said before that I would not be able to give my comments on 1MDB until I have seen the report by the Auditor-General.
“Other people can give their comments on 1MDB as they have the right to do so but for me, I think it is better to read the report first,” he told reporters at the Parliament building here today.
The veteran Umno leader also stressed that the Public Accounts Committee (PAC) should be allowed to do their investigations on the Finance Ministry-owned firm now that they have enough members once again.
“Let the PAC, who will have enough members after this, do their research and examine everything that has been submitted by the Auditor-General,” Tengku Razaleigh added.
